Dignifying Lives Well-Lived – A Family Serving Families Since the Late 1800s
For generations, the Simpson family has walked alongside Southwest Missouri families in their most tender moments. Rooted in Webb City and Carl Junction, we blend deep heritage with heartfelt, personalized care—honoring every life with dignity, compassion, and unwavering respect.
Our roots trace back to the Webb City Undertaking Company in the late 1800s. In 1947, Jack C. Simpson—after World War II service and mortuary education—purchased it with partners, beginning the Simpson legacy at what became our current home at 400 W. Daugherty St. in Webb City. Through name changes, expansions (including acquiring Roney Funeral Service in Carl Junction in 1982), and family transitions, we've remained committed to professionalism and heart.
Jack led for over 50 years until 2000. His son Hal joined in the 1970s, becoming full owner in 2001 with his wife Stefanie. In 2022–2023, third-generation leader Austin Simpson took the helm, bringing fresh vision while honoring the past—including the launch of intentional chaplaincy services in 2023 to provide deeper spiritual and grief support.

3rd Generation Family
We exist to dignify every life well-lived. That means going beyond standard services to create truly personal tributes—tailored to traditions, stories, faith, and budgets. Our family-owned approach ensures no impersonal packages; instead, we listen, guide, and honor uniquely.
Since 2023, our intentional chaplain services—led by Chaplain Kyle and team—provide spiritual comfort, grief counseling, regular check-ins, and community outreach. We visit homebound residents, facilities, and offer complimentary support, reflecting our belief in caring for hearts long after the service.
"Dignifying Lives Well-Lived" isn't just words—it's the promise we've kept across generations, and the one we make to every family we serve.
