We are a group of caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to us.
We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
Austin Simpson, son of Hal and Stefanie, is the third generation of leadership for the company. Austin is a Missouri licensed funeral director, holds a B.S. in Accounting from Western Governors University, and is a Webb City High School honor graduate.
In August of 2022, Austin officially begun the third generation of family leadership when he purchased the funeral home from his parents, Hal and Stefanie Simpson.
In 2021, Austin married his wife, Amanda, originally of Republic, Missouri. Together, they relocated back to Webb City to be involved full-time in the family business. Previously, while pursuing his degree, Austin worked for Mid-Missouri Bank as their staff accountant at their headquarters in Springfield, Missouri.
In his free time, Austin enjoys flying planes, kayaking, and being involved in the local community. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for both the Webb City Chamber of Commerce and for BluCurrent Credit Union in Springfield.
Austin and Amanda reside in Webb City with their son, Jack, and enjoy opportunities to be involved in their local community.
Amanda joined the Simpson family through Austin in marriage in 2021. She is a Republic, Missouri native and graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College with an Associates of Arts in Teaching. Amanda is a high school graduate of New Covenant Academy, of Springfield, Missouri.
Amanda manages office operations at the Webb City location, and has quickly become a recognized, friendly face in the community.
JD joined the Simpson team in April of 2024, after spending six years working in the funeral profession. He brings a deep sense of care to each service he conducts, ensuring that every ceremony honors the memory of loved ones with dignity and respect. He has worked in nearly every facet of funeral operations, including monument design and procurement and family service care.
He obtained his Funeral Director license in April of 2024. In 2022, JD decided to take the step to become a funeral director, with the hope of being able to provide families with the care they deserve in a time of need.
He is a 2017 graduate of Galena High School in Galena, KS. His family has deep roots in the Southeast Kansas community, and enjoys the hometown feel in each of the communities that we serve.
Outside of work, he finds solace and enjoyment in fishing, a hobby that he says, "provides the perfect relaxation and lets you just get away and enjoy the calming sounds of the water." His family plays a big part in his life.. "Everything I do revolves around them. I treat all families with the same respect I would when speaking to my own family."
Kyle Beverlin joined the funeral home staff in 2022 with the desire to support the families we serve after the funeral. Chaplain Kyle communicates with families, performing checkups and counseling those struggling with grief. Kyle resides in Webb City with his wife and children.
Kyle manages the funeral home's Hope for the Heart program for grief and loss, which has become an integral part of the ministry our funeral home provides.
Nathan Dawson has been married to Deanna for over 25 years and has three boys: Andrew, Aaron, and Alex. He has served in youth and education ministry and as an associate pastor.
Nathan currently pastors Airport Community Church and brings nearly 30 years of ministerial experience to our team. He also has 15 years and continues his service as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Nathan enjoys serving with Simpson Funeral Home because it allows him to serve people in the community alongside an "others first" staff.
Kathryn is a recent transplant from Oklahoma to this area. She has retired from teaching and HR management. When not working at Simpson Funeral Home, she enjoys activities at her church, gardening, baking cookies, and card making. She and her husband, Robert, have four children and seven grandchildren.
