Chaplaincy & Grief Support at Simpson Funeral Home

Caring for Hearts – Before, During, and Long After Loss

Our chaplaincy team is dedicated to proactive spiritual care, community encouragement, and compassionate grief support. We meet people where they are—offering hope, connection, and dignity in every season of life.

Proactive Chaplaincy – Reaching Out with Care

Grief and spiritual needs don't wait for a funeral. That's why our chaplains take a proactive approach to support the Southwest Missouri community:

  • Visiting Care Facilities – Regular visits to nursing homes, assisted living, and senior centers to build relationships, lead devotions, offer prayer, and encourage spiritual well-being for residents and staff.
  • Pre-Need & Hospice/Palliative Support – Compassionate visits to families facing terminal illness or end-of-life care—providing spiritual guidance, listening, and comfort before loss occurs.
  • Community Engagement – Active involvement in local events, churches, schools, and charities to foster hope, connection, and preventive grief education throughout our area.

Our chaplains—led by Chaplain Kyle—are here to walk alongside you, whether for encouragement today or support tomorrow. This ministry reflects our belief that dignity and hope matter in every chapter of life.

Hope for the Heart – At-Need Grief Support

Hope for the Heart is our free, recurring grief support program designed for anyone navigating loss. Led by Chaplain Kyle in a warm, judgment-free space at our Webb City location:

  • Monthly meetings with engaging discussions, shared stories, and practical tools for healing.
  • Open to widows, surviving siblings, friends supporting loved ones—anyone grieving.
  • Refreshments provided; come as you are—no commitment required.
  • Year-long follow-up check-ins and personalized counseling available.

Whether your loss is recent or years ago, Hope for the Heart offers friendship, comfort, and a path forward. Join us to find hope in community.
