Obituary for Sherri Lynn Carey

Sherri Lynn Carey age 65 of Purcell passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her home.  She was born in Joplin, Missouri to Robert Williams and Olive (Bunch) Williams on January 18, 1953.  Sherri was retired from the Webb City School District where she was a cook at the junior high.  She loved to take care of her family especially when it came to her grandkids.  Sherri was married to Alan Carey and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2006.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Chad Carey on November 23, 2013.  Sherri is survived by her son, Brad Carey of Purcell; grandsons, Brayden Carey and Zackary Carey of Purcell, Joshua McDaniel of Goldsboro, NC, Jacob Carey of Goldsboro, NC; granddaughters, Camara Carey of Carterville, Katie Carey of Goldsboro, NC; and sisters, Brenda McKinley and Barbara Dunn of Oklahoma.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the New Beginnings Outreach, 313 Grand Avenue, Purcell, MO 64857.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the church in her memory.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.  Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
