Obituary for Oscar F. Evans

Oscar F. Evans age 95 of Joplin passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Spring River Christian Village.  He was born in Webb City, Missouri to William Oscar Evans and Crystal Mae (Arnold) Evans on March 28, 1923.  He worked at Parsons Ammunition Plant, the King Louis Shirt Factory, and retired from Elders Shirt Factory in 1986.  He was a United States Army & Navy Veteran having served in World War II and also the Korean War.  He was married to Doris Evans and she preceded him in death.  Oscar is survived by a daughter, Sally Garrison of Joplin; 3 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.  The family will be present for a visitation on Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial with full military honors will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.  Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
